Bobby Lashley is considered to be a bigger superstar than many other performers on the WWE  roster at the moment, according to a story from Ringside News.

It's pretty clear that WWE has been doing a lot to protect the towering Hurt Business member and he's being made to look like a pretty huge deal on TV. The aforementioned source is claiming that's all because he's become a favorite of Vince McMahon, who views him as a higher-level talent than many of his peers.

Per the report:

"Ringside News asked about the apparent protection of Bobby Lashley, specifically if he might be groomed for something much bigger down the line. We were told that Lashley is “seen by Vince McMahon as more of a star than the others on the roster.”

"It doesn’t seem to be an instance of WWE building Lashley up for any specific angle. A lot of fans, Bobby Lashley included, would still like to see him versus Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate has not signed a new WWE deal that we have heard, so that isn’t the situation."

Lashley went undefeated for 99 days before his non-title match against Jeff Hardy on Raw last week. The United States Champion earned another win on the night despite interruptions from several other members of the roster.

Who's Up?

The former TNA star now looks set for a feud with Riddle, who happens to be another favorite of McMahon. It was recently reported that the WWE chairman doesn't get Riddle's act but enjoys it anyway.

It's been suggested that the pair could become entangled in s storyline over Lashley's US Championship.

It's great to see Lashley finally getting the recognition he deserves after being booked poorly, for the most part, since making a return to WWE in 2018. His affiliation with another returnee in MVP has been a positive one but the career turn mightn't have happened had the latter not returned for a Royal Rumble appearance that ended up with the inking of a surprise contract.
