It's well-known by now that Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman didn't see eye to eye when it came to pushing certain superstars.

Heyman was fired from his role as the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw two weeks ago. Reports suggested that Vince was frustrated with the state of the flagship program, and that he simply didn't like Heyman.

WWE hired Heyman for the role near the end of June last year. He put an emphasis on pushing younger and underused superstars such as Cedric Alexander, Humberto Carrillo, Aleister Black and Ricochet.

However, it was recently reported that Vince decided to end the pushes of Alexander, Carrillo and Ricochet. Unfortunately, it sounds like Vince is also done pushing one of Heyman's other major projects.

Per Cageside Seats, there's a rumor that Vince "soured on" former NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler, and that she won't be receiving a major push going forward.

With Becky Lynch on hiatus, WWE decided to build the women's main event scene around Raw Women's Champion Asuka, Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair. The latter will be sidelined for several months as she prepares to undergo surgery, but it sounds like WWE is planning to push Charlotte again when she returns.

Earlier this month, Dave Meltzer explained that Baszler has been absent because of WWE's plan to have Asuka work with Jax and Charlotte. Perhaps things will change now that Charlotte will be off of television for the foreseeable future.

Heyman succeeded in quickly getting Baszler over as a heel, but it sounds like Vince isn't keen on pushing her going forward. We'll just have to wait and see what WWE does from here, but they can't keep Baszler off of television forever.

Baszler Deserves A Chance

With a strong in-ring skill set and a superb heel persona, Baszler has all the makings to be a main event star. WWE spent so much time building her up, so why stop now, even without Heyman leading Raw? It'd be unfair of Vince and creative to just give up on Baszler without giving her more time to show her value as a main event talent.
