Triple H had made his peace with not being able to compete at WrestleMania. That was until his father-in-law told him that he would be.

Fans will be treated to a lot of matches at WrestleMania this weekend. 14 to be exact, at the time of typing this anyway. As it stands, this WrestleMania will have a different feel to most of the events from the past decade or more. That's because there is the very real possibility that mainstays such as The Undertaker and John Cena will not be there at all.

Another Superstar we thought might miss WrestleMania was Triple H. If he had, it would have been the first time in 12 years that he wasn't on the card. We were led to believe that due to the injury he suffered at Crown Jewel. While teaming with Shawn Michaels in Saudi Arabia, The Game tore his pec. However, here we are five months later and Triple H is preparing to face Batista this Sunday.

During a recent interview with ESPN, The Cerebral Assassin revealed that he was actually okay with the prospect of not competing at WrestleMania this year. The Game thought to himself "I'm going to have an easy year this year, I just go watch the Hall of Fame and then I get to work behind the scenes at Mania." However, that dream was shattered when he was approached by Vince McMahon.

"Vince came to me and told me, 'I need you to be in WrestleMania this year'," The Game revealed. Apparently, that came shortly after the boss also told him that he would be inducted into the HOF as part of D-Generation X. Triple H proceeded to tell Mr. McMahon that he didn't think he would be ready as he hadn't even returned to training.

Clearly, when the boss tells you he needs you, you make sure you're ready. That counts for double if the boss is your father-in-law. It's also interesting how Mr. McMahon told Triple H that he needed him. It has often been rumored that the chairman has thrown around the word need to convince Undertaker to keep coming back for WrestleMania. The boss can clearly be pretty persuasive.
