Things are extremely tense inside the WWE right now, as ratings continue to decline while disgruntled superstars try to get out of their contracts.

Over the past couple of months, Vince McMahon has fired or mutually parted ways with some of his top writers. Fans are simply getting tired of the current product, which has lacked creativity and proper direction.

Predictably, the WWE chairman is feeling the heat as he tries to fix the ratings problem. However, it sounds as though McMahon is trying to do this on himself, because he doesn't want to listen to advice from others.

According to Wade Keller of PW Torch (h/t Ringside News), Vince is rejecting ideas from practically everybody backstage. This includes his children Shane and Stephanie McMahon and son-in-law Triple H. Even the legendary and well-respected Bruce Prichard isn't "getting through to Vince either."

Triple H has even liked some tweets (before eventually unliking) tweets from fans who are criticizing the current product and suggesting that he run creative over Vince. Of course, the Cerebral Assassin has seen plenty of success in steering the ship - building up NXT and the women's divisions tremendously. But even Vince doesn't want to listen to Triple H's advice right now, so it's easy to understand why things are quite hectic backstage.

With Fox taking over the SmackDown Live broadcasts, WWE needs to find a way to fix their ratings problem. On top of that, The Revival rejected new contracts, Sasha Banks has gone on hiatus due to creative character dissatisfaction and Luke Harper asked for his release. It's a total mess in WWE right now, to say the very least.

What This Means

Vince and the WWE Universe haven't agreed on a lot of things in recent years, but he still thinks he's the one who should call all the shots. Well, the poor ratings and tense locker room speak for themselves, and he should start listening to others before the company experiences more problems.
