According to Ringside News, Vince McMahon is reportedly against pushing Keith Lee to the top of the card. Although the promotion recognizes that Lee is incredibly talented, McMahon allegedly feels that the 36-year-old wrestler lacks a certain star quality.

A few weeks ago, Lee was sent to the Performance Center for more training. Although he was set to wrestle for the United States Championship at this Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber PPV, his appearance wasn’t confirmed on this week’s Raw. Lee, who was scheduled to face Bobby Lashley and Riddle in a United States title triple threat match, may have been replaced.

Dave Meltzer has also weighed in on Lee, noting that "something is going on" after the 'Limitless One' missed Raw. During the episode, WWE worked his absence into a storyline by claiming that he had been injured during the previous week's attack by Randy Orton.

Although the 6’2, 340lb wrestler may not adhere to the physical wrestling superstar standards of Drew McIntyre or AJ Styles, he is undoubtedly one of the most talented performers in WWE. A former PWG World Champion, NXT Champion and NXT North American Champion, he is the first man in history to hold both WWE titles simultaneously.

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, Lee was introduced to professional wrestling by his grandmother, who was a fan. While playing college football at Texas A&M University, he quit to become a professional wrestler. In 2015, he started appearing in ROH with Shane Taylor, calling themselves "Pretty Boy Killers" (PBK).

In 2017, Lee signed with Evolve, where he eventually won the WWN Championship at Evolve 94. Simultaneously, Lee also made appearances in PWG, where he won his first match, defeating Trevor Lee, on May 19 at Head Like A Cole. He then defeated Lio Rush and Trent at Pushin Forward Back on July 7.

Lee's quarterfinal match against Donovan Dijak at PWG was awarded a five-star rating by Dave Meltzer. At the Time Is a Flat Circle event on March 23, 2018, Lee defeated Chuck Taylor to become the PWG World Champion. For now, it remains to be seen if McMahon will reconsider his lack of support for Lee, though there ¡s no doubt that fans will have the final say.
