Former WWE Superstar Wade Barrett says his time in wrestling is certainly not over and that one day he will return to the ring in a match.

Barrett was recently interviewed by Mirror Sport to promote the relaunch of ITV's World of Sport Wrestling. After being away from the game for 30 years, WOSW has scheduled a 10-part series, debuting July 28. Bennett will act as the "Executive" of the show.

This is not the first appearance Barrett has made in the wrestling business since leaving WWE. He's been part of smaller promotions all over the industry acting as the voice of wrestling promotions since his unhappiness with WWE and lagging injuries have stopped him from pursuing a full-time comeback. But, as time moves on, Barrett is thinking he might get more involved.

"I'm on a bit of a career sabbatical at the moment. I wrestled for 14 or 15 years," said Bennett. "I've got a bunch of injuries, I'm tired, I'm getting old, I'm getting some grey hair now. I promise you, Morgan, that at some point I will be back in the ring and maybe that will take place in WOS. We'll have to see."

For WWE fans, especially Barrett fans, that's good news. The bad news (no pun intended) is that it does not sound like Barrett coming back to WWE is happening anytime soon, if at all.

Barrett has worked almost exclusively in the UK since getting back into wrestling and he wants to see the British promotion do well. He didn't enjoy his experience in WWE as he was on his way out and instead of helping a platform that is already big, like WWE, Barrett is more interested in helping UK wrestling.

Barrett said, "Hopefully this is going to be a big hit on TV, I believe it's going to be a great product and people are really going to get into it but on top of that the quality of wrestlers in the UK these days is as high as it's ever been." He added, "there's some amazing talent out there and we've put together a great roster at WOS and I think people are going to be very excited to watch them."

Barrett promises that WOS will bring back what the British audience want to see, blending athleticism with entertainment.
