The NBA champion Golden State Warriors are signing superstar center DeMarcus Cousins to a one-year deal worth $5.3 million, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

This is obviously devastating news for the rest of the NBA, as the Warriors have been virtually unbeatable in the last two years. After cruising to NBA Championships in 2015, '17 and '18, they're now adding one of the league's elite centers - a four-time All-Star and two-time member of the All-NBA Second Team.

Cousins appeared in 48 games for the New Orleans Pelicans last season, averaging 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. Cousins' season ended in January after he tore his Achilles. Wojnarowski added that Cousins is hoping to return by Dec. or Jan of next year.

The news sent Twitter into a frenzy, as the already unbeatable Warriors just got even better. Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have formed a historically dominant big three that has rarely been challenged. Now, they're adding one of the best centers in the NBA.

With LeBron James joining the Los Angeles Lakers and recruiting zero superstars thus far, only the Houston Rockets look like a potential threat to unseat the Warriors. And even then, they're completely outmatched by what could very well be the greatest starting five in league history.

With Cousins now signed, there are no more bonafide superstars available on the market. It was suggested for a while that he would re-sign with the Pelicans or join the Lakers, but Cousins is taking the easy route to an NBA Championship.

Unless LeBron and Kawhi Leonard want to join the Rockets, Boston Celtics or Philadelphia 76ers, it's impossible to see a scenario in which the Warriors don't win the championship next year.

It was unfair enough when they signed Kevin Durant in 2016. Things got even more unfair for the rest of the NBA and its fans when Cousins signed with the defending champions.
