Sometimes all we can say as fans of the WWE is, "Way to go WWE! You ruined another opportunity." Yes, us armchair writers and bookers think we can do anything better than the company who makes hundreds of millions of dollars entertaining us fans through a product they know better than we could ever imagine. It's part of the fun of being a fan. We cheer when we love the idea and we criticize and boo when we hate it.

So, each week we come back here to give our two cents about the things our favorite wrestling company botched. From who lost matches to how they lost, the WWE is just wasting the wrong people and we have no idea why.

So, thinking we're better than Vince and his many writers, here are 5 Ways WWE Screwed Up This Week.

5. Rusev and English Losing Clean

Rusev and Aiden English have made "Rusev Day" the most popular thing going in WWE right now. You'd think the company would ride that wave all the way through the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. Maybe they will, but if that's the plan, they haven't gotten off to the best start.

On Tuesday's SmackDown Live, Breezango earned a victory over the hottest duo in the company. Yes, the same Breezango that lost in a squash match to the Bludgeon Brothers not two weeks ago. No, it doesn't make a lot of sense to us either.

4. Nia Jax Attacks Asuka

WWE was doing the right thing by keeping these two female forces away from each other. Perhaps they'd meet in the Rumble and hint at a possible match for WrestleMania. That would have been the right play. But, WWE must have changed their minds because without any warning, Jax attacked Asuka on Monday and the two will meet in a match next week on Raw, essentially ruining any anticipation that might have built up by holding that match off.

It feels like the company didn't realize or have faith this could have been a matchup with big draw appeal. That seems like an odd feeling to have.

3. Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt Laugh-Off

via wwe.com

What in the blue he!! were the writers doing when they decided to have "Woken" Matt Hardy get into a laugh-off in the middle of the ring on Monday with the "Eater of Worlds"? If it wasn't bad enough, fans had to be subject to that nonsense more than once through videos, now they brought them out and awkwardly offered the same idea in front of a live audience. It was insanity and not in a good way.

WWE is showing they don't have the first clue on how to handle this "Woken" character. It's not good, not good at all.

2. Awkward Raw

The Hardy and Wyatt segment wasn't the only awkward moment in WWE this week. In fact, most of the show on Monday was filled with awkward moments that alienated the live fans, saw talent stumble through their lines and try to explain away bad writing. At one point, there were almost 10 minutes that Raw used backstage segments or announcers talking with no action in the arena. The crowd must have wondered what they'd paid to see.

Backstage segments or video packets and announcers talking to the home audience is fine when done in smaller doses. When it takes up huge portions of the show and the result is that the actual in-ring stuff feels thrown together, that is bad.

1. The Champions Club

I know the idea is to find Jason Jordan annoying. The point is to demonstrate that he's an over-anxious thorn in the side of the Shield, like a little brother who won't stop following his big brother and his friends around. But, in delivering on this idea, the WWE is slowly crippling The Shield.

The Balor Club was far more over than Reigns, Rollins and the substitute, Jason Jordan. Reigns was actually being loudly booed again and that hasn't happened in a long time.
