Fans who watched Raw on Monday got a bit of a new glimpse at a different Aleister Black. He's got a new look, new tights, and, as of Monday, a new theme song. Some hate it and some love it, but who is responsible for it? And, what does the change mean moving forward?

Black has ditched the coffin and the creeking noises that came with his gothic entrance and gone with a more metal feel. His old theme song titled Root of All Evil appears to be gone as well and while reactions are a bit mixed, for the most part, fans are digging the new song despite missing the old one.

Speculation coming out of the show on Monday was that WWE was switching up the theme because of a parting of the ways with music producers the CFO$. The belief is that WWE is going to, eventually, move all the CFO$ themes off the talent who use their music and go with something else. But, that may not be entirely accurate as the returning Robert Roode has his theme song and that theme is potentially the most popular CFO$ creation of all.

In Black's case, according to Fightful Select, Black himself was instrumental in the change and very hands-on with picking a new theme.

Why The Change?

This new theme may be more about a new and improved version of Black as it is believed Vince McMahon wanted to move away from the cryptic character, concerned it didn't have long-term appeal. If Black is ok with it, hopefully fans will be understanding.

At the same time, given that Black has gone heel and targeted Kevin Owens, the timing was apparently right to make the switch. So, if you have a problem with it, you might as well pick a fight with him since Black seems to be the one behind it all.
