Ronda Rousey is set to defend her Raw Women's Championship in a dream triple threat match at WrestleMania 35, where she'll square off against both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

Lynch - this year's women's Royal Rumble winner - has to defeat Charlotte at this Sunday's Fastlane pay-per-view. If she does that, the Irish Lass Kicker will be added back into the Raw Women's title match at WrestleMania.

There's little doubt that Lynch will win the match, of course. The plan this whole time has been to pit The Queen and The Man in a triple threat match against The Baddest Woman on the Planet at 'Mania.

Right now, these are the three biggest female superstars in all of WWE, so it makes perfect sense to throw each of them into the main event at WrestleMania. But there's another key reason why WWE is planning to make the Raw Women's Championship match a triple threat bout.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Cageside Seats), WWE is going this route just in case Flair, Lynch or Rousey were to get injured. If one of them were to suffer an injury, WWE would at least be able to change it to a singles match, so they're simply covering all angles here.

Rousey and Flair are both healthy, but Lynch has been dealing with a knee injury. Of course, nobody knows when a superstar might get injured. It'd be a disaster if the Raw Women's title match was a singles bout with one of the competitors getting injured.

But again, WWE also seems keen on making this a match between the three biggest female superstars right now. Lynch, Flair and Rousey have all seen plenty of success over the past calendar year, and putting them all in the ring together will surely lead to one memorable match.

What This Means

It's smart of WWE to play it completely safe by being prepared in the case of Lynch, Rousey or Flair possibly getting hurt. Hopefully, all three are healthy and ready to go when WrestleMania takes place in a month's time.
