Rusev was originally slated to face The Undertaker in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, but he was later pulled and replaced by Chris Jericho.

But on Monday, it was announced by Lana that WWE reinserted The Bulgarian Brute into the match, which finally gives confirmation that Rusev Day will go up against arguably the greatest superstar in WWE history.

So why did WWE keep flip-flopping between Undertaker's opponent for next Friday's pay-per-view? According to a report from Brad Shepard of BodySlam.net, someone inside the WWE wasn't happy about Rusev saying he would "crush" Undertaker's "old a*$."

The report from Shepard also noted that WWE is sensitive when it comes to insulting their "old timers," Throw in this reply from Undertaker's wife, Michelle McCool, and WWE was worried that The Deadman was offended by Rusev's words.

However, WWE found out 'Taker wasn't bothered by Rusev's comments, so he was reinserted into the match. That makes plenty of more sense, as opposed to WWE seemingly trying to toy with its fans by changing Undertaker's opponent over and over again.

There were also some worries among the WWE Universe that Rusev may have been on his way out of the WWE. PWInsider.com had recently reported that Rusev was added to the United States Championship match at WrestleMania 34 because he asked for his release from the WWE. After he was taken out from a bout with 'Taker, Rusev deleted all WWE references from his social media account, and said he would miss Aiden English on Instagram.

But this confusing and strange storyline appears to finally have come to an end, and fans in Saudi Arabia will get to see an epic clash between Rusev and 'Taker.
