Chelsea and Brazil winger Willian has responded to the speculation regarding his future amid the many rumors of a Stamford Bridge exit this summer.

The polarizing star had emerged as a target for La Liga holders Barcelona earlier this summer, but the Catalan side has since signed Malcom from Lyon and are understood to have cooled their interest.

Manchester United and Real Madrid, however, are still believed to be pursuing the player, who has been a Blue for the past five years, having joined from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala back in 2013.

Willian fell out with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte last term, with the Italian limiting his playing time despite his effectiveness on the right wing when handed opportunities. Things became so strained, the player used trophy emojis to cover the manager in an image showing the Blues celebrating their FA Cup win at the end of last season.

Maurizio Sarri has taken over from Conte this summer, which should make the atmosphere a less hostile one for the Brazilian. And, speaking to Globo Esporte this week, the player claimed to be happy at the club, while suggesting he's going nowhere.

"No, I'm back to England," he told the above source. " I'm very happy at Chelsea, I'm very happy living in London.

The news should be music to the ears of most Chelsea fans - apparently, some of them want him gone - but his absence from training is believed to have prompted some worry.

The player was due back at Cobham this week, however, issues with his passport have seen him delayed and he will miss the Blues' pre-season match against Arsenal on Wednesday.

There have been claims of an offer from Madrid turning the attacker's head. Yet, according to Goal, no bid has been tabled by the Spanish giants and Willian has been in constant communication with Chelsea as he looks to resolve his documental problem.

The player is expected back in London this week, following his extended break due to participation in the World Cup and will hopefully be a part of Sarri's attack when the new Premier League season begins later this month.
