Chelsea's Willian will be taking legal action after a letter, that he claims not to have signed, circulated on the soccer market offering his services to European clubs.

With the transfer window now just a week away from closing in the United Kingdom, activity is starting to ramp up. Much of the speculation up until this point has been surrounding Chelsea. New manager Maurizio Sarri is doing all that he can to keep Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard, and Willian at the club. At the time of typing this, he has managed to do exactly that.

All three players' futures are up in the air, but Willian is the one who has had the most turbulent time. The Brazilian expressed his desire to leave if Antonio Conte remained in charge. That is not the case so presumably, he will now remain at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea continually knocking back offers from Barcelona for the talented winger would certainly suggest that to be the case.

However, a letter emerged recently offering out Willian to European clubs, suggesting that he wanted his agent to find him a new home. In a further twist, the Chelsea star has claimed to never have seen the letter despite his signature being on it. Willian posted a photo of the letter on his Instagram account earlier this week, informing fans that he has instructed his lawyers to take whatever legal action they can against those responsible for the "forged" document.

"I would like to clarify that I never signed such letter, the content of which I completely deny," Willian wrote during his lengthy statement, also writing "my signature has been forged, or anyway misused, I hereby inform that my lawyers are already instructed to proceed with all appropriate legal measures." Good news for any Chelsea fans who are hoping he remains at the club for the 2018/19 season.

The lower leagues may start in England this weekend, but Premier League managers still have another week to get their affairs in order and have their starting XIs ready. One thing is for certain, it is going to be a busy week, especially for Sarri. If he can keep Willian, Hazard, and Courtois at Stamford Bridge, then he will be in Chelsea fans' good books before he has even taken charge of a game for the Blues.
