With only a few days to go before Money in the Bank, the June 11, 2018 episode of Raw was all about sending the red brand home and setting the final stages for the matches that fans are supposed to pay to want to see. How successful WWE was with that goal is mixed. Some of Raw was extremely well done, other parts painful.

There were shades of what some of these matches could look like and that's appealing. There were also reminders of why some of the angles leading into the show have been so poor. I guess you can't get everything perfect and it is fair to say Raw was a bit more good than a bit worse.

The show was a hodge-podge, but there were still excellent moments. Here are your winners for Raw, June 11, 2018.

Loser: The Opening Segment

In what world do future opponents stand on ladders and mouth off to each other before their fight? Only in WWE would eight competitors be dragged out to climb ladders and then proceed to tell the others how they are going to win. It's silly, it adds nothing and this segment was especially bad with WWE Superstars just yelling over each other.

This was not a good way to start the show and while watching it, all we could think was, '"we sure hope this gets better or this is going to be a long night."

Winner: Baron Corbin

via wwe.com

After seeing Baron Corbin's new look, we immediately retract our statement that his new role as Constable of Raw is a bad idea. We're not sure this is great for his "Lone Wolf" gimmick but anything that ends in him cutting off his hair and going with more of a Lex Luthor look is fine by us.

He's kind of a tattle tale in this new role, and it will be interesting to see where it goes. He adds an element of uncertainty to the segments he's in and that could be a good thing.

Loser: Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax

via wwe.com

There were mixes of both good and bad in the Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax segment. Jax was way too nice after weeks of being a bully and Rousey constantly looks awkward and nervous when she's out there not fighting and not talking. But, the segment got better when the two finally locked up which gives the indication that their match could be fun to watch.

In the end, if they put on a good show at Money in the Bank, we guess it doesn't matter how they got there.

Winner: Curt Hawkins

via wwe.com

This was actually a great way to use both No Way Jose, who needed a win, and Curt Hawkins, who needs to find interesting ways to keep his defeated streak alive. You'd think that we'd all have seen it coming that Hawkins might dress as someone on the conga line, but we actually never did. That was refreshing.

It didn't work and Hawkins lost again. He's getting quite the push between his ESPN article and the time Raw spends focusing on his losses.

Loser: Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins has been wowing the audiences with his magical matches of late so, to see him take a step back in this comedic attempt to get under Elias' skin was disappointing. The segment was far too orchestrated and predictable, so when Rollins finally did smash the guitar, it had less of an effect.

This was a segment that would have been better done a week or two ago while the smashing of the guitar over Rollins' back should have been saved for the go-home show.

Winner: The Riott Squad

Riott and Bayley had great chemistry, but the best part of the entire match was the end when the Riott Squad gave us a little taste of their gang mentality a la the New World Order. Considering none of these folks are on the pay-per-view this Sunday, it was nice to see them get some prominent time.

If WWE follows through with the Squad painting their opponents after matches and maybe adding another member, they could be special.

Winner: Men's Ladder Match

This was a good match and so much better than the opening segment that it was made even stronger when compared to that garbage. If this is the way the Money In The Bank bout goes down on Sunday, it should be fun to watch and gives fans a glimpse of what everyone will do in their vs. Braun Strowman who is simply devastating.

For the first time in a long time, the ladder match actually has some variety in it that makes you wonder how things will unfold.

Loser: The Obstacle Course

via wwe.com

We continued to suggest that as long as these two were doing whacky things relating to Lashley's sisters, we'd be giving this stuff a thumbs down. This was slightly better, but not by much.

At least there was some physicality here, even if it was surrounded by a goofy obstacle course that it would make little sense for Lashley to oblige and participate in.
