Gail Kim is one of the most decorated female wrestlers of all time, and if there's one name that has seen changes at Impact, it's her.

Kim had two stints with Impact wrestling. The first was in 2004 to 2008 and the other was in 2011 to present day. She's now retired and working as a producer, but her history in the industry is interesting. She made the bold bold decision to leave the WWE and join Impact Wrestling - and it turned out to be the right move as she further cemented herself as one of the greatest women's wrestlers of all-time.

Kim infamously left the WWE in August 2011, when she quickly eliminated herself in a battle royal for the chance to compete for the Divas Championship. Kim took to Twitter and announced she left the WWE, and later said was due to frustration with the promotion seemingly worried more about physical appearances of the divas than their in-ring talents.

So despite her history with the WWE, there are few names as synonymous with Impact wrestling. The seven-time Knockouts champion recently opened up about how much the company has changed under the new ownership of Anthem.

"This company has always been through its ups and downs… and I think everyone knows that. There was a period where fans—I don’t know if they were WWE diehards or what it was—but people just really wanted to hate us," Kim said.

That all seemed to change within the last year, and according to the new-producer, the biggest difference is on-screen and fans will notice.

"I’ll tell you, the passion, the hunger, the drive, the passion from the young kids, you see it in their eyes," she continued "that’s the the main thing you’ll see when and you’ll feed off of when you watch a show...I think it’s a turning point for us."

Kim was inducted into the Impact Hall of Fame in 2016, and would retire from in-ring competition in 2017. She wrestled one final match for a local promotion in the United Kingdom, before hanging up the wrestling boots for good.

Now, Kim is employed by Impact Wrestling as a producer/agent. She continues to work extensively at improving a promotion in which she left a lasting impact on. With a spot in the Hall of Fame, Kim's decorated and legendary career will be discussed for years to come.
