No World Titles changed hands at Super Showdown, but the defeated challengers won't have long to wait to get another chance.

Super Showdown has been and gone and in keeping with WWE's other Saudi shows, there's nothing much to report. No titles changed hands, Brock Lesnar is still Mr. Money In The Bank, and the women's match that was rumored to happen sadly did not take place. In regards to the show's two World Title matches, one of them kicked off the evening.

Seth Rollins' music was the first thing we heard on the show. As soon as the crowd yelled "burn it down," we immediately began to worry that this would be The Architect's last match as Universal Champion. That seemed to be even more likely when Lesnar's music hit right after Rollins rolled up Corbin. Thankfully, the champ used a low blow and a steel chair to debilitate The Beast and escape with his title.

Later in the evening, Kofi Kingston had to defend the WWE Title against Dolph Ziggler. Again, with Lesnar still lurking with his contract, we were worried that a cash-in was still imminent. After the match, Kingston spent a long time celebrating with fans. Luckily, that second Lesnar appearance never came. Instead, we were shown a backstage segment where Ziggler issued a new challenge to the champ.

Towards the end of the show, the announce team shone a spotlight on what's next for WWE. Stomping Grounds. It was revealed that Ziggler has been granted a second title match, and it will take place inside a steel cage. Corbin will also be getting another chance to dethrone Rollins, fulfilling the rumors that have been doing the rounds for the last couple of weeks.

It has been plain to see for a while now that WWE treats these Saudi shows like glorified house shows, hence none of its angles really being furthered. Annoying on the one hand, but a blessing in disguise on the other as it means Lesnar is yet to be crowned a World Champion once again. Beware though as The Beast is lurking, and he still has his briefcase.
