WrestleMania is almost upon us with the 35th installment of wrestling's greatest spectacle set to go down on April 7. If you're anything like us here at TheSportster, you're preparing for the big day by reliving some of your favorite WrestleManias from throughout history. While you can obviously do so on the WWE Network if you so choose, we still like to physically have a copy of the event on DVD or Blu-Ray. There's something pretty satisfying about looking up at our shelf with copies of all 34 WrestleManias stood neatly in a line. We'd highly recommend it. If you don't have your own collection of WrestleMania DVDs, or you do and you need to plug some gaps, make sure you have these three classic events at the very least.

The first ever WrestleMania took place in Madison Square Garden in 1985. However, it wasn't for another two years that we would get the sort of WrestleMania that is more recognizable by today's standards. The first of many to take place inside a stadium rather than an arena with 93,173 fans in attendance, a record that stood until three years ago. Two matches from that night will never be forgotten. Firstly, Randy Savage versus Ricky Steamboat. A terrific match for the Intercontinental Title that was lightyears ahead of its time. And, of course, the main event between Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant. The bodyslam from Hogan heard around the world, one of the most iconic moments in all of wrestling history.

We mentioned above that the first ever WrestleMania took place at Madison Square Garden. 20 years later, the show returned to its spiritual home for a WrestleMania dubbed "where it all begins again." A number of unforgettable moments happened on this show, no matter how much WWE might want to erase one of them from history. The night ended with Chris Benoit overcoming Shawn Michaels and Triple H to become World Champion. His good friend Eddie Guerrero then came to the ring and celebrated with him. Guerrero retained his own title earlier in the evening. If for nothing else, owning and watching this Mania is worth it to reminisce about a time when these two men were still with us. You can skip past the Brock Lesnar versus Goldberg match.

"It's a miracle on Bourbon Street!" The iconic words yelled by Michael Cole when Daniel Bryan achieved the impossible at WrestleMania XXX. Defeating Triple H at the beginning of the night, and then winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the end of it. The main event is not the only reason this WrestleMania will be remembered forever. Earlier in the evening, The Undertaker had his iconic streak broken. 21 straight years of winning at WrestleMania came to an end at the hands of Lesnar. It was one of the most shocking moments in wrestling history. More than 75,000 fans stunned into silence. It really was quite something and when we watched it again recently, it gave us goosebumps all over again. Truly one of the best and most memorable WrestleManias of all time.

Like we mentioned at the beginning of this article, we know every WrestleMania is available on the WWE Network, but we still prefer owning something tangible. Or, if you only want to own physical copies of the very best WrestleManias from throughout history, we strongly advise you make them these three. With the DVD in and the surround sound cranked all the way up to eleven, that three count on The Deadman at WrestleMania XXX has never sounded more impactful.
