WWE confirmed this week that NXT will be moving to USA Network next month, and it feels as if everyone in wrestling has had their say about it.

October is set to be a pretty big month for the wrestling business, especially the first week of it. On October 2, AEW's weekly TV show will air its very first episode on TNT. Two days later, SmackDown will debut on FOX. The blue brand will also be celebrating its 20th anniversary on that show and a wealth of WWE legends will be in attendance.

Turns out that we will actually have a little bit of history to look forward to before then too. NXT's big move to mainstream television. WWE revealed this week that starting from September 18, 2019, NXT will air live on USA Network every Wednesday night. Not only that, but the show will be extended from one hour per week to two.

That means AEW's show will be going head-to-head with NXT every week. AEW's Chris Jericho responded to that by tweeting, "Oh by the way...NXT on USA Network? #YoureWelcome." NXT GM William Regal replied to Y2J acknowledging that he deserves a modicum of thanks. However, we detect a hint of sarcasm towards the end of Regal's tweet, we'll let you decide.

Those who currently find themselves in NXT are naturally pretty excited by the prospect of being live for two hours every week. Johnny Gargano, who could well be on his way out of NXT, tweeted about the hard work everyone on the black and gold brand has put in to make this happen. "WE built this thing, WE made the world take notice and now WE are gonna make history," he wrote.

These are exciting times for wrestling fans. On the one hand, the idea of so much wrestling might be a little daunting. On the other, we now have a legitimate choice for the first time in almost 20 years. Can't sit through three hours of Raw? Don't bother. There'll be plenty more wrestling to watch throughout the week, some of which won't be influenced by Vince McMahon. Plus, settle in, as the Wednesday Night War is about to begin.
