Female wrestlers who worked with Ashley Massaro in the past have set up a GoFundMe to raise money for her daughter's college fund.

Pretty much every wrestler death hits everyone in the business hard. However, when someone passes away far, far too young, it is particularly hard to swallow. That's why the passing of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro is a difficult one to handle for many fans. Massaro was just 39 years old when she passed away a week ago.

It has been rumored that Massaro committed suicide, although, at the time of typing this, her official cause of death has not been revealed. A litany of those from the business who crossed paths with Massaro have been paying tribute to her via social media for the past seven days. Plus, WWE dedicated last Sunday's Money In The Bank PPV to her memory.

What some fans might not know is Massaro leaves behind a daughter. 18-year-old Alexa. The former wrestler's death will undoubtedly be hitting her harder than it is anyone else. That's one reason why female Superstars from WWE's past and present have started up a GoFundMe to help raise college funds for Alexa. They have also put together a video, each contributing a message to it and to Alexa. You can watch it below.

The video includes current Superstars who will have worked with Massaro such as Micke James and Maria Kanellis, and also names from WWE's past that shared a ring with her like Lita, Gail Kim, and Hall Of Famer Torrie Wilson. Massaro competed with and worked alongside them all during her three-year stay with WWE, and more importantly, became friends with them too.

The women who have set up the GoFundMe try to make it clear that should Alexa ever need to speak to anyone, she can reach out to them. While many might not have seen her for a while, they will have all likely met her when she was a little girl during Massaro's WWE run. At the time of typing this, almost $23,000 has been raised in just 24 hours. The goal is $100,000 and you can contribute by clicking here.
