The trailer for WWE 2K20 has been leaked a day early and focuses around Becky Lynch literally breaking a glass ceiling.

It's that time of year again. The couple of months before the release of WWE 2K's annual offering to the wrestling world. Between now and the release of WWE 2K20, expect all sorts of information to be gradually revealed. Gameplay footage, added features, and what will almost definitely be yet another record-breaking roster in terms of numbers.

WWE 2K's official Twitter account promised the first reveal about this year's game in the form of a trailer on Monday, August 5, 2019. It has been teasing what the trailer will focus on, implying that it is set in a mansion and we have been "formally invited " to all witness the big reveal this coming Monday. The trailer has actually been leaked a day early, and you can watch it below.

The trailer is set in a mansion, with a fancy party taking place within its walls. It is quite the star-studded affair. Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan, and Shawn Michaels are all in attendance. Braun Strowman, Sheamus, and Velveteen Dream are just some of the current Superstars mingling with those legends. The only issue? There are no female Superstars at the soiree.

That is quickly righted when Becky Lynch makes her grand entrance by literally crashing through a glass ceiling. In case you didn't quite get the symbolism, The Man then strolls up to Hogan and coyly says "sorry about your ceiling." Lynch and Roman Reigns then clink champagne glasses and The Big Dog says "nice work man," before the trailer closes with a few shots of gameplay footage.

The most exciting part of the whole trailer? The very end, at which the cover stars for WWE 2K20 are revealed, or at least that's how it seems. This time around, both the fans and WWE have got their way. That's because there will be two stars gracing the cover, Lynch and Reigns. Considering the flaunting of Lynch and Rollins' relationship on WWE TV, we're surprised it wasn't The Architect who made the cut.
