The WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view is only two weeks away, and up until now, there were only five matches confirmed for the card.

But on Saturday, WWE announced two more matches for the card: Shinsuke Nakamura will defend his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz, while Big E and Xavier Woods will defend their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The Revival.

Every single title will be defended at Clash of Champions, as per the event's tradition. So far, seven championship matches have been revealed. We're still waiting to find out who AJ Styles will defend his United States title against - and Becky Lynch is still without a challenger for her Raw Women's Championship.

So far, the other confirmed matches are Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship, Rollins and Strowman vs. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler for the Raw Tag Team Championships, Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship and Drew Gulak vs. Humberto Carrillo for the Cruiserweight Championship.

Also, the King of the Ring winner will be crowned at Clash of Champions. On the Raw side of the bracket, Samoa Joe will face Richocet while Cedric Alexander prepares for a clash with Baron Corbin in the quarter-finals. On SmackDown, Elias will face Ali while Chad Gable will go up against Andrade. The four quarter-finals matchups will take place this upcoming week.

The remaining championship matches will hopefully be revealed this week, as WWE will need some time to build up towards Clash of Champions. At any rate, the card is already loaded with intriguing and highly-anticipated matches - and the show can't come soon enough.

What This Means

The Clash of Champions pay-per-view takes place at an interesting time as WWE's war with AEW heats up. NXT is moving over to Wednesday night broadcasts - and SmackDown will move to Friday nights under Fox on Oct 4. Thus, it'll be interesting to see how WWE uses Clash of Champions to build toward the many changes that are coming in the near future.
