Bam Bam Bigelow is apparently already being considered for a WWE Hall Of Fame induction in 2019 due to his New Jersey connections.

Every year on the Friday before WrestleMania, WWE honors some of its Superstars from the past by inducting a select few of them into their Hall Of Fame. This year some very deserving stars were honored at the ceremony including Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz, Ivory, and Hillbilly Jim. There was one notable absence though despite rumors that this time around would be his year.

That name was Bam Bam Bigelow. There had been a lot of talk that 2018 would mark the year that the late, great Superstar would make it into the hall, but it didn't happen. Apparently, whoever makes these decisions decided that Mark Henry should be inducted instead, but it wasn't necessarily because they believed that The World's Strongest Man was more deserving of the spot.

Now, there is a much more reasonable explanation doing the rounds. According to the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter WWE still wants to induct Bigelow into their Hall Of Fame, but not until next year. That's because WrestleMania, and hence, the HOF ceremony two days before, will be taking place in New Jersey. The former ECW World Champion is from New Jersey, so it makes perfect sense for him to be inducted there.

Bigelow's achievements in professional wrestling are all too often overlooked and he will be a more than deserving Hall Of Famer if he is inducted next year. He made a huge impression in ECW, especially during his rivalry with Taz, and even headlined a WrestleMania with Lawrence Taylor in 1995. It's just a shame that he won't be around to accept the honor if and when it happens.

The 2019 Hall Of Fame ceremony is still a long way away at the time of typing this, of course, and who knows who will be inducted next year. It would certainly make sense for Bigelow to get the honor though, and it's hard to imagine that many people would object to him getting one of professional wrestling's highest honors. A deserving star who should have been inducted a long time ago.
