While WWE may not be treating him like a mega-star, there may be no performer more popular in WWE right now than Rusev. Rusev Day has swept the nation since its arrival and everyone connected to it rise in popularity as the fans seem to latch onto a Bulgarian Brute—a brute who is now an underdog in many ways. WWE hasn't given Rusev the run a lot of fans think he deserves, but the company is riding the wave of popularity that is his character and his special holiday and it appears they are hoping it carries over to Rusev's main squeeze, Lana.

Some say, in WWE, nothing is official until there's merchandise for it. If that's the case, Lana Day is officially upon us.

RELATED: WHY WWE IS PUSHING LANA AGAIN

A couple of weeks ago on SmackDown Live, Lana rejoined Rusev on TV for the first time in quite a while. The two were well known on social media as a married couple and were working together on shows like WWE's Facebook Watch program Mixed Match Challenge. Still, WWE was holding off on connecting the couple on weekly programming until recently. It appears writers have decided that two Rusev Days are better than one; well, one Rusev Day and one Lana Day. She joined him to a rousing ovation two weeks ago and last week was part of a dance-off with Naomi. All the while, Rusev and Aiden English were pumping Lana Day.

Fans can now purchase their very own "Happy Lana Day" t-shirt. The style and design match that of her husband but with a Russian flag instead of Bulgaria.

Will she ever become as popular as Rusev Day? Likely not, but that doesn't mean fans will be any less excited to see her where she belongs; standing right beside Rusev. WWE has really not showcased either Superstar's personality on SmackDown Live and perhaps this signifies a change in that regard.
