WWE has tweaked Appollo's name once again, giving the star his last name back.

There are a lot of elements that go into a grapplers name. The wrestling persona just would not be complete without a name to complement a wrestler's charisma. Some names make sense, and some are even downright silly. The most important thing about a wrestler's stage name, however,  is that it should be memorable.

WWE.com must feel that Apollo's name sounded better with a surname, and have since added "Crews" back to his profile. It will be interesting to see if any mention is made on Monday.

Apollo Crews has been in the middle of the ladder when it comes to climbing to success. He has a similar name to a former football player that we all know, Terry Crews, and one can argue that they share a few physical traits. Their physiques are similar and they are both bald, and so anyone could see why Apollo apparently had this last name.

That didn't stick long, however, as Apollo had to drop the name "Crews" a few months ago for good reason. The horrendous tragedy that occurred in February 2018 which involved a mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida, prompted WWE to make a small tweak to Apollo's name. The shooter who carried out this atrocious deed is named Nikolas Cruz.

The shooter's last name Cruz prompted the WWE to make a change with Apollo Crew's name and the last name was ultimately dropped. Afterward, WWE started to refer to the superstar as simply "Apollo" in an attempt to distance themselves from any unwanted publicity. Although the school shooting tragedy is currently lingering in some circles of the media, it has in a sense gone away and more than likely this is how Crews got his last name back.

Now that Apollo Crews has his last name back, he does not really sound much like an Olympic diety anymore. Sometimes dropping a name can work for the better. Such is the case of Elias who dropped the name "Samson" from his name and it seems to have worked wonders for him. Someone probably caught on to the double biblical moniker that was originally assigned to Elias. "Crews" just flows better with Apollo.
