Becky Lynch is still SmackDown Women's Champion after a brutal last woman standing match against Charlotte Flair.

As soon as it was announced that Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch would be competing at WWE Evolution, we knew it would be match of the night. When the last woman standing match stipulation was added, well, that just confirmed our belief. It may not have been the main event on paper, but it probably was in the eyes of the majority of those watching.

The rivalry between these former best friends, which began back at SummerSlam of this year, has been nothing short of gripping. The Lass Kicker was pushed to the brink thanks to a lack of opportunity, and heel Lynch has been a sight to behold. It is easily the best work we have seen from the Irish Superstar to date, and the WWE Universe is fully on board.

That was clear to hear at Evolution. Lynch's entrance music faded out but the crowd continued to sing along at the top of their lungs. The chants of Becky rang around the arena long after the match had begun too. Eventually though, the brutality of what was going on in and around the ring took center stage. Tables, ladders, kendo sticks, and a whole lot of steel chairs quickly became a part of the match.

It was those steels chairs that did a lot of the damage. A pile of them, courtesy of both women, right in the middle of the ring. Lynch and Flair each had to endure being slammed into them. They also both went through tables, and it was The Queen tasting wood that brought a curtain down on the match. The champ powerbombed her nemesis from the turnbuckle through a table to the floor below.

That destructive and decisive move probably signals the end of the vicious rivalry between these two former best friends. If that's true, who will be the next woman on SmackDown Live to step up to The Lass Kicker? She has proved time and time again that she can not only hang with the best in WWE, but that she is one of the best. Whether it's Asuka, Naomi, or perhaps Nia Jax, Lynch is ready.
