Nia Jax won the battle royal at WWE Evolution on Sunday night to earn herself a future shot at a Women's Championship.

When Stephanie McMahon promised that more than 50 women would be competing at the first ever all-female PPV, we wondered exactly how many matches she had in mind. What we should have known is that a battle royal would be on the cards. There was one, of course, and around half of those 50 promised Superstars competed in the match.

The winner of the over the top rope bout would earn themselves a Women's Title shot somewhere down the line. There were plenty of women in the match who have tasted gold before, from both the past and the present. Naomi, Michelle McCool, Ivory, and Alundra Blayze were all among those who made up the field.

If you're a big fan of the Iiconics, then we would recommend skipping the start of the match. After talking a big game on the mic, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were thrown from the ring just seconds after the bell rang. Maria Kanellis, Molly Holly, Torrie Wilson, and Lana among many others followed in the Iconic Duo's footsteps and also eventually made their way to the back one by one.

The final two women left in the ring at the end of it all were new friends Ember Moon and Nia Jax. However, only one of them could win. As much as Moon's athleticism counteracts Jax's size to some extent, the former NXT Women's Champion just couldn't get her out of the ring. Once the dust had settled, Jax was the last woman left in the ring and has won herself a future title shot.

Now Jax just needs to find out who she will face. By the time you read this, the winner of the Raw Women's Title match between Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella may have already been decided. However, even though Jax warned that whoever wins that one is on borrowed time, what's to say she won't set her sights on the SmackDown Women's Title instead?
