WWE has revealed the brackets for the upcoming King of the Ring tournament and as you’ll be able to tell from the image, there are some interesting match-ups.

This Monday night, WWE brings back King of the Ring. The popular 16-man elimination tournament will feature some of Raw and SmackDown Live’s top stars as they try to outlast one another over the next few weeks leading to Clash of Champions where a King will be crowned. Names like Kevin Owens, Ricochet, Andrade, and Drew McIntyre headline the field.

WWE has released its first-round brackets and there and some interesting pairings. With McIntyre taking on Ricochet this Monday on Raw in a first-round bout, one of the favorites will be eliminated. Over on SmackDown, Owens takes on Elias and in a likely classic high-flyer contest, Buddy Murphy will meet Ali.

Social media was buzzing as fans tried to pick their winners and while some matchups seem easy to predict, others will have the WWE Universe falling on both sides.

The tournament kicks off this coming Monday on Raw and will likely feature all four first-round Raw contests.

What This Means

The brackets give fans a better idea as to what WWE might be thinking as they shape the tournament over the next few weeks. Should Owens get past Elias, he’ll likely square up with Buddy Murphy and on Raw, should Ricochet upset The Irish Psychopath, he’ll probably have a date with Samoa Joe.

If you were to pick, who would you take? Is Owens still the favourite or does the bracket give you a clue that someone else might be getting a push?

WWE has posted the bracket on their social media pages and you can pick the winners for yourself.
