WWE legend Ric Flair is reportedly set to undergo surgery this Friday.
The news actually broke during halftime of the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night, with NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley taking a minute to wish the 70-year-old well on the TNT NBA Halftime Show.
This has since been confirmed by PWInsider, who report that the legend is indeed poised to undergo a surgical procedure, although the reason remains unknown.

"Charles Barkley gave a shoutout to Ric Flair and wishing him well in his surgical procedure on Friday. This was followed by a couple of 'whoos,' one of them from Barkley himself.
"PWInsider.com has confirmed Flair is indeed undergoing a procedure. We are not aware of the nature of the situation but want to take this moment to wish Flair nothing but the best."

Barkley was one of the many notable personalities who showed up to Flair's 70th birthday bash last month and is a longtime friend of the former ring performer.
The WWE legend had a big health scare in the summer of 2017 but the surrounding details are largely unknown as well. He did pull off a grand recovery, making several public appearances as well as in music videos.
"I've known Flair forever, man," Barkley said last year. "I was a big wrestling fan going back to the '70s and '80s. He's just been a great friend, and I've seen him in his heyday, and we've had a lot of fine nights together. And I went to visit him in the hospital, obviously."
Flair's most recent WWE appearance saw him manhandled by Batista, who crashed his birthday bash on an episode of Monday Night Raw, assaulting him and leaving him unconscious (kayfabe of course). This has set up a feud between The Animal and Triple H ahead of WrestleMania 35.
What This Means
For now, there's no official word on Flair's condition or what he's being operated on for but a statement could surface later on.
In the meantime, we'd like to wish the Nature Boy a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
