WWE is preparing for a major four-day stretch up north, with NXT TakeOver: Toronto and SummerSlam 2019 set to take place at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Next week's episodes of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live will also take place at Scotiabank Arena. Even though next week's stretch in Toronto features a pair of of major pay-per-view events, WWE is somehow having problems selling tickets for the pair of shows.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Ringside News), noted the large quantity of remaining seats for all the shows - and how cheap tickets are on the secondary market right now.

For example, there are still around 1,700 seats available for SummerSlam. Ticket prices are as cheap as $11 for Raw, $9 for SmackDown and $7 for NXT TakeOver: Toronto. As you'd expect, this is causing plenty of concern for WWE officials.

According to wrestling insider Brad Shepard, the ticket sales woes have led to "internal chaos" in WWE. The hope among officials is that a mere "site issue" is the root cause of the problem.

This isn't the first time in 2019 that WWE has faced ticket sales woes for a pay-per-view event. The company was so desperate to sell tickets for the Stomping Grounds show in Tacoma, Washington that they ran a two-for-one promotion. Tickets were as low as $20 for the show, and they wound up "blocking off" some places inside the Dome.

Attendance and a decline in ratings have been main problems for WWE this year, and as Fox prepares to take over the SmackDown broadcasts in the fall, Vince McMahon and co. must be feeling the heat. They'll just have to keep working gradually away at figuring out solutions over time.

What This Means

It's surprising that WWE is facing ticket sales woes in a city like Toronto - especially with a handful of major American cities like Boston, New York and Chicago not too far away. Not only that, but SummerSlam is one of WWE's "big four" shows, and the match card is filled with plenty of intriguing matches. Hopefully, ticket sales pick up between now and these four shows, because they're all lining up to be excellent and memorable events.
