After a couple of brief appearances on Raw, it seems WWE has decided not to move a certain superstar to the red brand on a regular basis.

A couple of months ago, Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne showed on Raw and were working directly with MVP. He had recruited the tag team while Paul Heyman was running the show as Executive Director but as MVP started working more closely with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, his relationship with Thorne and Vink seemed to end. And, with Heyman out of the equation, the duo appeared to have no direction.

WWE has announced that Thorne will wrestle Bronson Reed this Wednesday night on NXT. They write:

“Bronson Reed is poised for a breakout summer, defeating Roderick Strong and Johnny Gargano to secure a coveted opportunity to compete for the NXT North American Championship in a 6-Man Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver XXX. But fellow Aussie Shane Thorne hopes to stop his momentum this Wednesday on NXT. Can Thorne topple The Aus-zilla in one-on-one action? Find out live on NXT, Wednesday at 8/7 on USA Network.”

The immediate reaction to the announcement is that this might have been a one-off, but Thorne is also now listed as part of the NXT roster on WWE.com.

It is not believed Thorne will fair very well in that match considering Reed just moved on in the North American Championship Tournament and NXT is heavily pushing the performer.

What About Brendan Vink?

Meanwhile, Vink is not listed on any current WWE roster. This shouldn't be taken to mean that WWE has released the star, more that they've not exactly decided what they want to do with him. It is believed Vince McMahon is a fan of Vink and sees his look and size as something WWE can key in on.

In fact, speculation is that Vince thinks Vink has the goods to be a massive star in the business and represent the company well, just like Drew McIntyre has in recent months.
