Ronda Rousey has been hit with a 30-day suspension by Monday Night Raw General Manager Kurt Angle.

The fallout from Sunday's Money in the Bank, particularly Rousey's match against Nia Jax, was never going to be a friendly one, with Alexa Bliss having interrupted the bout.

Bliss, who beat seven other female superstars to clinch the Women's Money in the Bank briefcase, attacked Rousey while she was trying to put Nia in an armbar hold en route to cashing in her briefcase and pinning the weakened Raw Women's champion to claim the belt herself.

Rousey was understandably irate, given the circumstances, and she showed up in a mood to eat up anyone in sight on Monday night.

Bliss, meanwhile,  demanded that Angle officially present her with the Raw Women's Championship belt as a show opener. Rousey came on a few moments later, and with Angle standing between the two women, Bliss felt it safe to trash talk the former UFC star.

After being called an "overhyped rookie," though, Rousey snapped and proceeded to attack the champion, ultimately beating her down with the Money in the Bank briefcase. An unfortunate Angle attempted to get his WrestleMania tag partner off a helpless Bliss, but found himself a victim as well, with Rousey attacking him with said briefcase until several referees got involved.

The referees got their share of Ronda too before the future UFC Hall of Famer picked Alexa up and powerbombed her through a table.

Following the vicious assault, Angle met up with Ronda backstage to inform her of his decision to suspend her for 30 days.

Jax, meanwhile, was absent from the show, but Bliss was told that the towering star is expecting her rematch at Extreme Rules.

Rousey's suspension comes as very bad news to the WWE Universe, who were expecting a story to unfold between Alexa and Ronda. While they could still get it, they'll have to wait an entire month before getting another sniff of the Baddest Woman on the Planet.
