Following previous reports claiming that WWE has canceled Backlash to accommodate the rescheduling of its Saudi Arabia show, it has been revealed that a new name, date, and location is about all the change the PPV will be going through.

Backlash was initially scheduled for June 16 in San Diego but, with the Saudi show being moved to June 7, it was suggested that Vince McMahon thought the better of running a show called "Backlash" that close to a previous show that could garner some backlash from the WWE Universe.

It looked as if the company was looking to push the PPV back a week and change cities. And, given recent news, it appears that they've done exactly that, bringing an all-new show called Stomping Grounds - not Backlash - to the fans.

According to the Facebook video shown below, the company's latest PPV will take place at the Tacoma Dome in Washington.

A match has been announced too, with Randy Orton and Roman Reigns said to be poised to face each other in a match that should epitomize the new show's name, given Orton's involvement - he's quite the stomper, you know.

There's nothing indicating the type of match or a backstory as yet but we will be on top of it as updates become available.

What This Means

For one, let's all be glad that it's the PPV is still on. We should also probably also be happy it's not going to be called Great Balls of Fire.

The WWE Universe would have been quite displeased to see Backlash canceled in favor of a Saudi Arabia event, with many fans against the WWE holding shows there in the first place.

So... bring on Stomping Grounds!
