There are plenty of tidbits to chew on this week if you’re a wrestling fan. As WrestleMania 34 draws closer, there is speculation galore about wrestlers ready to make debuts, others in jeopardy if missing the show and storylines that may be in the works.

The biggest news of the week was the announcement that Daniel Bryan would be able to return to in-ring action. With that comes widespread talk about what his role will be at WrestleMania and how SmackDown Live will be affected. A former WWE Superstar and current WWE Legend is in talks to return, there are rumoured matches to be announced and one of the most over Superstars is getting a makeover.

While we can’t cover all the buzz, below are the top rumours in WWE this week.

Hulk Hogan To Join SmackDown Live

WWE has confirmed they’ve spoken with WWE Legend Hulk Hogan about a return to the company. They said there is no deal in place and nothing is confirmed but that they’ve inquired about a non-wrestling role. Most insiders believe the role will be to fill one of the vacant spots on SmackDown Live.

Shane McMahon has given up his role as commissioner and Bryan is expected to drop his title as GM, so the blue brand needs a new matchmaker. Is Hogan the right fit? Would fans like to see him return? These are all things the WWE is currently considering.

AJ Styles Could Miss WrestleMania

via stillrealtous.com

AJ Styles says he’s fine and that he’d wrestle at WrestleMania with one leg cut off if he had to but Triple H recently revealed during an interview that WWE has a Plan B and Plan C if Styles can’t go.

Triple H says WWE doctors are working with Styles to rehab his issues and that they’re doing their best to ensure he’s cleared in time. Styles is likely going to be ready to go but it is a concern for the company who has now proven to only clear wrestlers when they are fully ready to go.

Bray Wyatt To Be Repackaged

After his loss to Matt Hardy in the Ultimate Deletion match, Wyatt looks to be getting a makeover by WWE. It’s possible he returns right away but most insiders believe he won’t be back for WrestleMania and will be retooled and debut down the road with a new character.

If the rumours are true, this has to be considered a huge disappointment for WWE who had a goldmine on their hands with Wyatt and threw it all away with bad ideas and terrible booking decisions.

Bryan Added To WrestleMania Card

After the way Bryan and friends Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were booked at this past Tuesday’s SmackDown Live, it feels clear that Bryan will be added to the match as a tag team partner for Shane McMahon to take on Owens and Zayn.

Bryan was cleared this past Monday and word is, he is in such good health he can wrestle as much or as little as he and the company want him to go. WWE won’t waste any time getting him active.

Ringside News is reporting that former tag team partner in the Enzo Amore and Big Cass duo, Cass has been telling people he's medically cleared to wrestle again. He's been out of action since August after tearing his ACL but there may be rumors of him returning the night after WrestleMania.

That Monday's show is always a big one with returns and call-ups and his debut would be worth noting. That said, it will be interesting to see what WWE chooses to do with him since any running storyline has been all but eliminated since WWE terminated his former partner Enzo.
