After the Super Show-Down, with SmackDown Live 1000 and Evolution on the way and people worried about WWE Crown Jewel and their involvement with Saudi Arabia, there are plenty of WWE rumors this week.

What's going to happen as WWE creeps closer to their second major Saudi show but political unrest is prevalent in the area? Will the company be able to land all the names like they'd like for their historical SmackDown show? Are the wrestlers showing up in the next week or two going to be sticking around?

Here are the biggest rumors in WWE this week, October 6-13, 2018.

WWE Crown Jewel Show In Jeopardy

via ewrestling.com

It’s looking less and less likely that the Crown Jewel show from Saudi Arabia will take place. Several United States senators have called on WWE to rethink their plans for the November 2nd show in light of the news that Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi was tortured and killed in the Saudi consulate in Turkey. WWE has issued a statement saying they've been monitoring the situation. Word on Sunday is that WWE has pulled the event from their events listings online.

If WWE cancels they could have a number of big problems on their hands. Not only does it potentially open up the company to a lawsuit since they signed a 10-year agreement to put on shows in Saudi Arabia but they would need to come up with a backup plan for the event itself. Word is they might extend the UK tour but that won't bring the same money in they would have in Saudi Arabia. Would someone like Shawn Michaels be willing to work if the money to come out of retirement isn't there?

On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said the majority of the talent in WWE doesn’t want to go to Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel show so perhaps this is a blessing in disguise.

WWE Trying to Get The Rock For SmackDown 1000

via origin-cms.thescore.com

While it's not looking likely, WWE is apparently still hopeful that they can strike a deal with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to make an appearance on SmackDown 1000. He's arguably the biggest star in SmackDown history and the show wouldn't be the same without him.

With the historic show only a few days away, SmackDown 1000 is still organizing the card which includes Batista returning as part of Evolution, Edge hosting an episode of the Cutting Edge, Rey Mysterio making his official WWE return versus Shinsuke Nakamura and The Undertaker making an appearance.

There is some speculation that if he can't make it in person, Johnson will at least leave some sort of video message that will air on the show.

Kurt Angle To Be A Regular Again

via pwmania.com

PW Insider says Kurt Angle is scheduled for Raw next week and looks to be back as a regular performer on television. He also mentioned that his dream match would be to face Daniel Bryan but isn't sure that match will happen because he doesn't necessarily believe Bryan has a mutual interest in that match.

Speaking of Daniel Bryan, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports the plan was always to have Daniel Bryan beat The Miz in a very short match at Super Show-Down so they could use it in promos later.

Lack of Asuka Push

via wwe.com

In a rumor that's almost too silly to go into full detail on, during a discussion on PW Insider Elite Audio, Dave Scherer claimed Vince McMahon isn’t using Asuka on television because “she doesn’t speak good English”.

What else can be said other than we can only hope that's not true considering it's ignorant, biased and an unnecessary reason to keep her off the show. Considering Asuka doesn't need to talk to be an effective character in WWE, it makes even less sense.
