The list of potential opponents for Brock Lesnar is an extremely short one, but it looks like the name at the top of it is Seth Rollins.

Normally as soon as WrestleMania season is over, Brock Lesnar is nowhere to be seen. Thanks to Greatest Royal Rumble, this year The Beast Incarnate had to hang around for a little while longer. His duties in Saudi Arabia are now done and dusted though and, as expected, our Universal Champion is nowhere to be seen. He will return though, of course, but who will challenge him next?

Hopefully, it won't be Roman Reigns. If The Big Dog was going to get his crowning moment against Lesnar, then it should have already happened. Another option is Braun Strowman. The Monster Among Men may have already tried and failed to defeat The Beast, but he has come a long way since that loss. A summer rivalry that ends with Strowman lifting the Universal Title, that would go down well with the fans.

Despite Strowman's popularity, it doesn't look like he will be the one to slay The Beast. If the breadcrumbs that WWE is currently laying are anything to go by, Seth Rollins will be the man to topple Lesnar, or he will be his next challenger at the very least. The Architect has been making a big deal about how he is a "fighting champion," and has been using the hashtag "#BrockWho" in his tweets.

Mike Johnson commented about the tweets during a recent edition of PWInsider Elite Audio, saying "it would appear that Dave Scherer in predicting that Seth Rollins against Brock is the match to look at. He might be right". Those of you with longer memories may remember a time when Lesnar and Rollins went one on one before, at Battleground 2015. Rollins was a heel then though, and it ended with an Undertaker run-in.

Rollins is one of the most popular Superstars in WWE right now. The Kingslayer is putting on incredible matches and the fans are almost deafening when they shout "burn it down" during his entrance, no matter where they are. Having him defeat Lesnar for the Universal Title as opposed to Reigns would be a far more popular decision. It would also make it easier to reintroduce Finn Balor into the mix once Rollins is champion.
