WWE could release another star pretty soon, according to Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer. Zelina Vega remains the promotion's most recent high-profile release following her contract termination last month.

Vega defied Vince McMahon's orders as it pertains to third-party content, opening an OnlyFans account as well as refusing to get off Twitch.

Speaking on the return of Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake to television, Meltzer suggested that Jaxson Ryker is set to follow Vega out of WWE, though for different reasons. The wrestling insider reckons WWE simply hasn't gotten around to releasing Ryker yet but he should be part of the next batch of releases.

It's thought that there could be another group of stars and various staff members who could be released anytime from now, albeit claims WWE isn't actively looking to cut anyone else. Recent reports claimed Triple H has been a source of reassurance to stars fearing the ax, however.

As for Ryker, there's a lot of heat on him because of the comments he made on social media in reference to the Black Lives Matter movement post the murder of African American George Floyd by a white police officer earlier this year.

Ryker's post drew responses from a number of stars but it's understood that most of the WWE roster aired their grievances backstage. Blake and Cutler quickly moved to distance themselves from Ryker's statement and, last week, returned to TV for the first time since the comments, noticeably without Ryker.

No Surprise Here

Given the locker room heat, it's no surprise that WWE could be keen on dropping Ryker. The company implemented sensitivity training after the post and management was understood to be very unhappy.

There's no clear indication that Jaxson Ryker will be released; there's no indication as to when either. But if the promotion does make another cut, he's probably going to be included.
