Superstars from NXT, NXT UK, and 205 Live will clash at Royal Rumble Axxess in what WWE has dubbed the Worlds Collide Tournament.

WWE has labeled Survivor Series the only night of the year when Superstars from different brands clash. As good a hook as that has become, it isn't technically true. Wrestlers from different brands clash in the Royal Rumble matches, Money In The Bank matches, and also went head to head in WWE's first ever World Cup at Crown Jewel.

You can now add WWE's Worlds Collide Tournament to that list. However, in this instance what goes down will be pretty unique. For starters, Raw and SmackDown Live's performers will not be involved. The tournament will comprise of 15 male competitors, five from NXT, another five from NXT UK, and a final five from 205 Live, as laid out via WWE.com.

The tournament will go down at Royal Rumble Axxess in less than two weeks and take place over two days. While it won't air live on the WWE Network, it is apparently being taped for a Network special to be shown at a later date. The tournament will begin with all 15 competitors in a battle royal. The order in which they are eliminated will decide who faces who.

The winner of the battle royal will receive a first-round bye. However, deciding who faces who via a battle royal means we could see some pretty unique matchups right from the off. The winner will receive a championship match on their respective brand, but it should be noted that some of the announced stars compete across more than one brand. The likes of Tyler Bate, Mark Andrews, and main roster-bound Otis Dozovic.

As touched upon above, the only real shame is that this tournament won't air live on the WWE Network. We are currently extremely jealous of those who will be in attendance at Royal Rumble Axxess. They could potentially see matches such as Adam Cole versus Zack Gibson, or Velveteen Dream up against Drew Gulak. For the full list of competitors head to WWE.com.
