With more than 1.6 million subscribers, Xavier Woods’ UpUpDownDown on YouTube is now the most subscribed-to celebrity video game channel ever.

Guinness World Records has recognized Woods YouTube Channel as the most popular celebrity-led channel in the world, an honor Woods, a.k.a. Austin Creed, received earlier on Saturday at the Insomnia Gaming Festival in Birmingham, U.K.

UpUp DownDown started as a project Woods wanted to undertake when he first realized YouTube was becoming a "thing" and another way to promote himself as a WWE Superstar. His original idea was to travel from arcade bar to arcade bar, but WWE was not a fan of the idea. It took over a year to develop something else and a lot of back and forth to approve the idea but eventually, WWE allowed Woods to gather other WWE Superstars and sit around, as themselves, playing video games and reviewing them.

The show was completely original for WWE in that it showed the backstage comradery between the active roster of WWE Superstars while not in character. As the channel slowly grew, Woods became more popular and the idea that WWE could market their product through original YouTube content became more and more of a reality. Today, WWE is one of the most active social media companies in the world.

With the success of his show, Woods is known almost as much for his channel as he is for being part of the famous tag team New Day — a group who just recently recaptured the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships when they defeated the unstoppable Bludgeon Brothers this past Tuesday.

To say that Woods has had a good week would be an understatement and with his recent Guinness accolades, it's even more likely WWE stars who have not be on the show will be knocking down his door trying to make an appearance.
