It has been more than five months since All Out. An event that will go down in AEW history for a number of reasons, good and bad. Unfortunately, the biggest reason why fans are still talking about All Out all these months later is due to what happened after. The tirade from CM Punk during which he heavily criticized the company's EVPs at the press conference, and the alleged brawl that took place off camera after that.

No Reparations Have Been Made

The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega were suspended for their part in all that and have since returned to TV. In fact, The Elite are currently the Trios Champions. Punk remains absent since he has been recovering from an injury. An injury that will almost be healed by now, but an update on his relationship with The Bucks indicates he won't be making a miraculous return to AEW anytime soon.

“A lot of damage done, there’s a lot of mending of fences that needs to be done, and there’s been no mending of fences. At all,” Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio (H/T to TJR Wrestling for the transcription). It was assumed by some that attempts had been made to try and get Punk back in AEW, but if those attempts have been made, they've not led to anything.

Still A Couple Of Months Away

Meltzer also notes that Punk is probably still a couple of months away from being able to return to the ring. That leaves time to make something happen and potentially piece together what would likely be the biggest moment in wrestling since Punk debuted for AEW. Right now though, the odds of that happening appear to be almost zero.

The most likely outcome, for the time being, is that Punk isn't only done with AEW, but he is done with the wrestling business entirely. After taking years away and then making a return that for the longest time appeared to be off the cards, only for all of this to happen a year after he came back, it seems unlikely Punk would be up for risking that again. Also, if WWE is on his radar, Seth Rollins definitely doesn't want him there.
