The global NXT brand is in a state of flux right now as it was announced last week that NXT UK will soon be no more. It will eventually be replaced by NXT Europe, but before that, there will be a Worlds Collide event. The building blocks for that show were put in place on NXT 2.0 this week, starting with Tyler Bate and Bron Breakker agreeing to unify their titles in the main event.

Title Unification Matches At Worlds Collide

Bate and Breakker agreed to that match to kick off the show on Tuesday. Bate would later compete in an NXT ring for the first time since 2020's Worlds Collide event, beating Von Wagner. The NXT and NXT UK Titles won't be the only championships unified either. The brands' respective Women's Champions also agreed to a similar match when they came face-to-face for the first time on Tuesday.

The women's unification match will have an added twist, though. Mandy Rose and Meiko Satomura hammered out the details right after Blair Davenport defeated Indi Hartwell. Still in the ring, Davenport claimed to be the number one contender, seemingly for both championships. Rose and Satomura appeared to think that was a fair claim and made their unification match at Worlds Collide a triple threat.

Tag Titles Might Be Unified Too

It hasn't been confirmed yet, but it seems likely the Tag Titles will be getting the same treatment. Gallus attempted to take back the NXT UK Tag Titles from Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen on NXT this week. Various other teams, including NXT Tag Champions The Creeds intervened which resulted in the match ending in a countout. Later in the night, the two sets of champions agreed to a match, but it wasn't clarified whether all the gold will be on the line.

It was an incredibly busy two-hour show this week. On top of everything already mentioned to build to Worlds Collide, Dexter Lumis returned to the brand to brighten up Hartwell's day, Grayson Waller and Apollo Crews clashed after a heated talk show segment, and Santos Escobar returned, seemingly so he can take the rest of Legado del Fantasma to wherever he's headed next. Not to mention the Lights Out main event between Tiffany Stratton and Wendy Choo. Results from this week's NXT 2.0 can be found below.
