WWE has revivied a number of old WCW shows in recent years. Perhaps Vince McMahon is finally letting go of his grudge over his former rival two decades after he won the Monday Night War by buying his competition. Most of the revivals have fallen under the NXT banner. Both WarGames and Halloween Havoc have a place on the NXT calendar, and so does Great American Bash.

Great American Bash, which was also briefly introduced on WWE's main roster a long time ago, has been confirmed to be returning to NXT once again this Independence Day. Well, technically one day after Independence Day. July 4 falls on a Monday this year, and since NXT airs on Tuesdays, the themed episode of the brand will go down on July 5. NXT's Great American Bash will begin at 8 pm EST and air on the USA Network in the US. Those of you elsewhere will be able to watch the show live on whatever network usually airs NXT in your part of the world. Everything announced for Great American Bash so far can be found below.

Bron Breakker vs. Cameron Grimes for the NXT Championship

After a memorable feud with Dolph Ziggler, clashes with Tomasso Ciampa, and a one-off with Gunther, Bron Breakker has been tied up defending his title against Joe Gacy for a while now. After defending the title against Gacy twice, Breakker has finally been allowed to move on from what was a pretty lackluster feud.

Enter Cameron Grimes. Having lost the North American Title, Grimes now has his sights set on NXT's richest prize. It doesn't make much sense that Grimes is getting a title shot, but this angle is already more intriguing than the Gacy stuff. It also feels like this might be Grimes' last act in NXT. Breakker probably won't lose at Great American Bash, and with nothing else to do after that, Grimes could finally get called up.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Grayson Waller for the NXT North American Championship

The North American Title scene might well be the most exciting in NXT right now. Between Carmelo Hayes, Solo Sikoa, Grimes who has moved on, and now Grayson Waller, there's a lot of talent vying for that title. Waller's way into this match was perfect too, tricking Hayes into signing a contract by asking him to autograph a bunch of stuff for family members.

It actually wouldn't be all that surprising to see Waller win this one too. NXT hasn't been shy about passing the North American Title between Superstars, giving them relatively short reigns. Waller has a bright future, and this could be a great rung on his ladder.

Toxic Attraction vs. Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships

Roxanne Perez won the first-ever Women's Breakout tournament, earning her a title match of her choosing. However, since she and Cora Jade were forced to earn their spots in this match, the implication here is that Perez's title opportunity will remain intact, regardless of what happens in this match.

Toxic Attraction's title reign is getting pretty long, but right now, there's no clear indication of who exactly will bring it to an end. Perez and Cora Jade are great, but having them win this one and become champions doesn't make a lot of sense.

The Creed Brothers vs. Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp for the NXT Tag Team Championships

After all that teasing, Diamond Mine really didn't last long. That'll happen when you release its leader and then the group's second in command asks to leave right after. At Great American Bash, half of Diamond Mine will square off against the other half, and the Tag Team Titles will be up for grabs.

If The Creed Brothers can improve, they have an incredibly bright future in WWE. It's evident the company has high hopes for them already. Meanwhile, Roderick Strong wants out and it would appear WWE isn't going to let him go. All of that in mind, the only team winning this one will be The Creeds.

Wendy Choo vs. Tiffany Stratton

The women's division in NXT is really starting to find its feet, something it has been struggling to do since the 2.0 revamp. Mandy Rose continues to lead the way, but she needs challengers. Wendy Choo has already been there, but she proved she's champion material last time she faced Rose. Tiffany Stratton isn't there yet, but a match against Choo on a big stage will help elevate her to the next level.

The winner of this one ultimately depends on the direction this match goes from the first bell. There's a way Choo can make Stratton look good but still beat her. Then again. Stratton picking up a big win would do wonders for her right now. It ultimately depends on how much more work WWE believes Stratton needs before inserting her into the title picture.

Wes Lee vs. Trick Williams

WWE has been trying to find a place for Wes Lee in NXT following the forced split of MSK, and it seems to be working. The former NXT Tag Team Champion has been picking up wins and putting on great performances.

At Great American Bash, Lee will have another opportunity to show what he can offer NXT as a singles star when he comes up against Trick Williams. It's great to see Williams away from Hayes and doing his own thing, but he'll likely be suffering a loss to Lee in this one.
