Paul Heyman has revealed Roman Reigns' "next goal" following the latter's victory over WWE Champion Big E in the main event of Survivor Series 2021.

Reigns has reached several impressive milestones since he aligned himself with Heyman on the Aug. 28, 2020 episode of SmackDown. The Tribal Chief has held the Universal Championship for 452 days and counting, and he hasn't lost a match cleanly since the TLC 2019 pay-per-view against Baron Corbin, nearly two full years ago.

Having defeated Big E at Survivor Series in a best-on-best showdown, what's next for Reigns? Heyman discussed the Universal Champion's "next goal" during an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated.

"The next goal for Roman Reigns is clear, and that is to be better tomorrow than he is today," Heyman said. "His goal is to be better in two weeks than he is next week, to make next week’s SmackDown better than this week, and to make the SmackDown that airs in three weeks better than it is in two weeks.

Roman Reigns continues to set a pace and achieve levels that no one in WWE has ever or will ever achieve. The world has the privilege and joy of watching it unfold every Friday on SmackDown."

During his title run, Reign has defeated several marquee stars, cementing himself as the top superstar in the company. The long list of opponents conquered include Drew McIntyre, Daniel Bryan, Hall of Famer Edge, John Cena and Brock Lesnar. The Heyman-Reigns partnership has also seen the forming of the The Bloodline stable with Jimmy and Jey Uso, who currently hold the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Needless to say, Reigns' heel run has been far more successful than his tenure as a babyface, when WWE tried pushing him as the top star from 2015 to 2018.

What's Next For Reigns?

WWE will reveal Reigns' next challenger on tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Greensboro, North Carolina. The company clearly plans to keep the Universal Championship on The Tribal Chief for a lengthy period, as his merchandise sales are reportedly on the level of John Cena, who spent more than a decade as the face of WWE.

It has been reported that Reigns and Lesnar will headline WrestleMania 38 weekend on Apr. 2-3 in Arlington, Texas. If that's the case, Reigns surely won't be losing the Universal title any time soon. It's surely only a matter of time until he breaks Lesnar's record (503 days) for the longest Universal title reign.
