CM Punk is set to take on Mike Jackson at UFC 225 Saturday and unlike his inaugural fight for the MMA promotion, this time, he's not considered a huge underdog, only a slight one.

Bovada.lv has listed the odds at +155 for Punk and -190 for Jackson as of Saturday afternoon. CM Punk opened up as a +230 underdog in his pro/UFC debut against Mickey Gall, and Jackson opened up as a +325 underdog in his pro/UFC debut, also to Gall which shows that both Jackson and Punk are much more evenly matched against each other, but Punk is still not favored to win.

It's difficult to know if these odds have changed much considering Punk has spent most of this past week in court defending himself in a trial against WWE doctor Chris Amann. That could have something to do with it but, for the most part, Punk has not bee favored to win any of his fights and it would be considered a surprise at this stage for him to come out and dominate anyone.

Punk did win his trial but he was clearly emotional and likely very stressed which is the opposite feeling you want to have a fighter feel just days prior to his big match. Especially a fight that could mean the end of his MMA career and likely last shot he'll be given by Dana White to fight in the UFC.

Punk is on the main card mainly because of his name and the eyeballs he brings to the show. His fighting skill has little to do with things.

In post-trial interviews, Punk did say he was able to get all of his training in but that he did have to change his routine. That too probably isn't going to do him any favors.

Saturday’s UFC 225 main card will air live on Pay-Per-View at 10:00 P.M. EST with the prelims starting at 8:00 P.M. EST on FS1. The exclusive Fight Pass prelims will begin at 6:15 P.M. EST.
