One of the hardest things to do when trying to seek help with drug and alcohol issues is to recognize you have a problem. Seeking help is just as difficult and when you're a celebrity, it's doubly tough because the news will 100% get out there. In the case of Jon Moxley, who AEW announced is entering inpatient treatment care for alcohol issues, it's front-page news in the wrestling world. Fortunately, Renee Paquette, Moxley's wife, has noted that fans have been incredibly supportive.

Paquette reached out to the fans on Wednesday, thanking them for their support as Moxley goes through a difficult time. Noting his reputation for being tough, she suggested he'll fight this battle in the same way he fights in the ring. She then showed her support for her husband.

She wrote, "Thanks for this outpouring of support. Jon is every bit of the badass we all know him to be. I couldn’t be more proud of him for getting to proper help he needs, and being given the space to put his health first. Couldn’t possibly love this man more."

It was on Tuesday that AEW President Tony Khan tweeted, "Jon Moxley has allowed me to share with you that he is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program." The news came as a shock to many, but immediately, fans showed their support and love for Moxley, as did his AEW employer. Khan added, "Jon is a beloved member of the AEW family. We all stand with him and Renee, and all of his family and friends, as he shifts his focus to recovery."

The Right Support System Matters

While it's never positive news to hear that someone is struggling with alcoholism, it appears Moxley has some great support between his wife, his family, and his friends at AEW. It is not clear how long he'll be away and what AEW will do creatively as Moxley was part of the World Title Eliminator Tournament semifinals. Fortunately, all of that takes a back seat to the performer getting better and returning at 100%.
