Brock Lesnar confronted Universal Champion Roman Reigns and former manager Paul Heyman on this week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which marked the first day of the 2021 WWE Draft.

Lesnar delivered a suplex to Reigns, and he managed to fight off Jimmy and Jey Uso. After performing suplexes on the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Lesnar hit his F5 finishing maneuver on both of The Usos.

Later on in the show, Lesnar interrupted a backstage interview between Jeff Hardy and Kayla Braxton. Lesnar took a microphone and thanked Heyman before declaring himself a free agent.

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Lesnar's promo "was pre-taped." Johnson added that Lesnar departed immediately and headed home after the segment with Reigns and The Usos.

Although it's not confirmed, Johnson also reported that there's "an expectation among some that" Lesnar will be at Raw this Monday, the second and final night of the draft.

In another backstage segment, Reigns ordered an emotional Heyman to head to Raw this Monday and ensure that his cousins (who went unselected on day one), get drafted to SmackDown. After Heyman left the room, Reigns told The Usos to follow him (Heyman) to Raw. He instructed them to leave Heyman "for dead" if they don't get drafted to SmackDown.

Lesnar and Reigns will square off for the Universal Championship at the Oct. 21 Crown Jewel pay-per-view, which will run at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This will be the first singles match between the two stars since SummerSlam 2018 when Reigns defeated Lesnar to win the Universal Title.

Lesnar vs. Reigns Is Getting Interesting

The latest chapter of Lesnar vs. Reigns will see the former portray the babyface character, while the Universal Champion will continue to work as a heel. The question mark surrounding Heyman's future with The Bloodline only adds more drama to what has been a well-booked program thus far. It'll be interesting to see how things play out leading up to their match at Crown Jewel.
