WWE previously had a pay-per-view scheduled for Dec. 12 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, though they haven't announced what the event will be.

Many have assumed it would be the annual TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs event that's traditionally held in December. That appears to be the case.

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the 2021 TLC pay-per-view will run on Dec. 19. Johnson added that there isn't a "confirmed market for" the show yet.

There are four WWE pay-per-views scheduled through the remainder of 2021. This year's Extreme Rules event will be held on Sunday at Nationwide Arena in Columbus Ohio. WWE will return to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on Oct. 21, which will be held at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.

The annual Survivor Series pay-per-view will run on Nov. 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Finally, there's TLC with the venue to be announced.

Last year's TLC pay-per-view was held on Dec. 20 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. No fans were present because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and WWE instead used the ThunderDome technology that was introduced four months earlier.

The Confirmed 2022 WWE Pay-Per-Views

WWE has announed venues for three 2022 pay-per-views. "Day 1" will be held on Jan. 1 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which traditionally runs in January, may be pushed back to February next year.

WrestleMania 38 is scheduled for Apr. 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It should be noted that WWE may end up making WrestleMania a two-day event again. Money in the Bank 2022 has been announed for July (exact date to be determined) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders, hosted SummerSlam 2021 on Aug. 22.
