Roman Reigns once again got the better of Brock Lesnar in their WrestleMania 38 "Winner Takes All" title unification match, but the latter may not have to wait long for a rematch.

Lesnar has been absent from WWE programming ever since he lost to The Tribal Chief in the main event of day two for WrestleMania 38. WWE has yet to announce Reigns' opponent for the May 8 WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view, but you can read a potential spoiler on it here.

As we await the formal announcement of Reigns' next challenger, a new report suggests that he could end up feuding with Lesnar again in the not-so-distant futre.

On Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Sportskeeda Wrestling), Dave Meltzer explained that there aren't many options regarding potential challengers to Reigns. With several major WWE events around the corner, Meltzer believes the company could run Reigns vs. Lesnar again.

"You got July the second, you got July 30th, you got September the third and you got Saudi in October," Meltzer explained. "So four major major events. It's weird, but I guess they'll probably go back to Reigns vs Lesnar at some point too. Just because they don't have anything else."

Roman Reigns Brock Lesnar Champions

The Money in the Bank pay-per-view will take place on July 2 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. SummerSlam will be held inside Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. WWE hasn't announced the name of the pay-per-view for the Sept. 3 event that will run in Cardiff, Wales. The promotion also has yet to announce its next event in Saudi Arabia, but they usually travel for an event there in the month of October.

With the victory over Lesnar at WrestleMania 38, Reigns moved to 3-2 all time against his longtime rival. This came less than six months after he defeated Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2021 to even up the head-to-head series at 2-2.

Don't Be Surprised If WWE Actually Does This

Like it or not, Reigns and Lesnar are two marquee money draws for WWE. Yes, the company has ran this feud too many times now. But Vince McMahon knows that plenty of people will always tune in to watch Reigns vs. Lesnar, even if the matches leave a lot to be desired. So ulltimatelt, it really wouldn't be a surprise if WWE decided to resume Reigns vs. Lesnar at some point after WrestleMania Backlash.
