Universal Champion Roman Reigns recently reached yet another incredible milestone.

As noted by Twitter account @WrestleFeatures, The Tribal Chief has gone more than 800 days without being pinned. The last wrestler to pick up a clean pinfall win over Reigns? That would be King Corbin, who defeated Reigns at the Dec. 15, 2019 TLC pay-per-view in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.

Reigns has yet to lose a singles match cleanly since his return at the end of SummerSlam 2020, where he introduced his new heel character. In January, Reigns broke Brock Lesnar's record for the longest Universal Championship reign, which stands at 553 days (and counting).

Reigns successfully defended his Universal Championship against Seth Rollins at Saturday's event in Madison Square Garden. He is set to headline WrestleMania 38 against Lesnar, the WWE Champion, in a "Winner Takes All" match. WWE will unify the two championship belts at The Show of Shows.

This will serve as the first world title "unification" match since TLC 2013, when Randy Orton defeated John Cena to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. As part of the 2016 brand split, WWE introduced the Universal Championship to the Raw roster, and the WWE Championship was moved over to SmackDown.

It should be noted that the "unified" storyline is reportedly only temporary. Apparently, the plan is for WWE to eventually go back to two men's world championship title belts.

Lesnar Is The Last Hope To Break Reigns' Streak For A While

It's safe to guess that if Reigns doesn't end Reigns' streak/record title reign at WrestleMania, then nobody is going to for a while. WWE has spent ample time in building up the heel version of Reigns as an all-time great. If he once again conquers Lesnar at "The Showcase of Immortals", then we can expect Reigns' impressive streak to continue. At this point, going 1,000-plus days without getting pinned does not seem out of the question.
