Roman Reigns might have beaten Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble to retain his World Titles, but he was not a happy Tribal Chief as he left the arena. Not only did he have to endure a chair shot from a traitorous Sami Zayn, but as the rest of The Bloodline rained down fists on The Honorary Uce for turning on their leader, Jey Uso refused to join in and walk away.

Roman Reigns On The Rock

Just 24 hours before that, Reigns was all smiles as a guest on The Tonight Show. With his titles in tow, host Jimmy Fallon asked the question all fans have been asking lately, but he had the chance to actually get an answer. What's the deal with Reigns and The Rock? The champ happily answered, getting a dig in at his cousin in the process.

“I believe he just came out with a statement saying he’s not going to be ready in time… hold on, this guy trains every single day. He’s huge,” Reigns said. There had been reports The Rock had been in touch with WWE to let them know he won't be ready to compete at WrestleMania. Reigns mentioning that is the first official acknowledgment that those reports are accurate.

The Rock Checks Two Of The Three Boxes

Initially coming to The Rock's defense, Reigns highlighted that The Great One ticks two of the three boxes when it comes to being ready to wrestle again. He's in great physical shape, and his diet is second to none. The Rock isn't ring ready though, and that's where that dig came in. “That’s number one, Dwayne. When you’re going up against Roman Reigns, you better get ready to fall down,” Reigns joked.

Despite Reigns' comments on The Tonight Show, many fans remained convinced Rock would show up at the Royal Rumble. That didn't happen, but the close of the show was pulled off so well that it's unlikely many fans cared about The Rock not being there. If anything, If You Smell ringing out around the Alamo Dome would have ruined what will go down in history as one of the best closing segments in Rumble history.
