Roman Reigns is the first-ever Undisputed WWE Universal Champion!

Going into WrestleMania Sunday, The Tribal Chief was on day 581 of his Universal Championship Reign. By the time the show was over, he was on day 1 of a brand-new reign having bested "The Beast" Brock Lesnar in the main event, capturing the WWE Championship and unifying it with his Universal Championship in the process.

The crowd was hot throughout, but what was billed as "The Biggest WrestleMania Match Of All Time" didn't quite live up to the hype. It wasn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination, but it was overshadowed by a shockingly thrilling Pat McAfee match earlier in the night.

Lesnar looked to have the match at one point, but the ref got accidentally knocked out, which allowed Reigns to deliver a brutal low blow to the reigning, defending WWE Champion. Lesnar was able to regain momentum, but it wasn't his night and Reigns was able to reverse an F5 into a Spear for a very abrupt 1-2-3.

Lesnar's WWE Championship reign lasted 43-days. He won the title at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia back in February. He earned a shot at Roman's Universal Championship by winning the Royal Rumble in January. Earlier in the night, Lesnar lost the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley after Universal Champion Roman Reigns interfered by attacking Lesnar while the referee was unconscious.

The men's Royal Rumble match was the main event, and Lesnar was a surprise entrant at number 30. The former WWE Champion eliminated several WWE Superstars including Bad Bunny and Shane McMahon, both of whom had returned to WWE earlier in the match.

Lesnar and McIntyre were the final two competitors in the match, but they weren't in the ring together for long. Lesnar disposed of the Scotsman and pointed at the sign-in celebration as the show went off the air.
